The City of Edmonton's Housing Action Team is looking for a dynamic HAF Implementation Advisor to help drive the successful delivery of the Housing Accelerator Fund (HAF) Action Plan. The HAF Implementation Advisor is a crucial member of the Housing Action Team, responsible for supporting the strategy, implementation, and management of the Housing Accelerator Fund Action Plan. This role serves as a central coordinator for complex housing initiatives, ensuring alignment with Council priorities and the needs of our community. You will manage projects from conception to completion, develop and track performance measures, foster key relationships with internal and external collaborators, and handle strategic communications. Your work will directly contribute to increasing the supply of affordable housing and creating a more inclusive city.

 

What will you do?

  • Lead and support the implementation of key initiatives within the Housing Action Team Work Plan and the Housing Accelerator Fund (HAF), ensuring all goals and deliverables are achieved

  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including detailed timelines, milestones, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies to ensure accountability and success

  • Build and nurture strong, collaborative relationships with community housing providers, non-profit leaders, other orders of government, and internal City departments

  • Provide strategic advice, in-depth analysis, and recommendations to leadership to inform decision-making and ensure alignment with corporate priorities

  • Serve as a key coordinator for communications, preparing Council reports, strategic briefings, and timely responses to inquiries

  • Champion equity and inclusion by integrating diverse perspectives, including Indigenous worldviews and decolonized approaches, into housing research, policy, and practice

  • Monitor and analyze emerging issues related to affordable housing, providing proactive recommendations and solutions to leadership

  • Perform other duties as assigned
