Description
The Light Rail Transit Operations and Maintenance section within the Edmonton Transit Service (ETS) is looking for an Electro Vehicle Mechanic to join their team. Come be a part of a forward thinking team, and provide support for Edmontonians transit needs and expectations.
What will you do?
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections
- Repair, overhaul, service, inspect/commission new equipment/attachments, and diagnose the complete range of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, structural, and all other failures occurring to light rail vehicles, equipment components, and attachments common to light rail vehicle fleets
- Recover and/or perform emergency repairs to failed electric transit vehicles on-line
- Complete changeovers on-line and track test light rail vehicles
- Carry out modifications to electric transit vehicles
- Review Branch maintenance information systems, manuals, and handbooks in order to accurately diagnose, repair, and request parts for the jobs assigned
- Complete the required administrative procedures and forms to ensure the proper recording and communication of work recommended and/or completed
- Use Fleet Management System Software (SAP) to perform data entry and time entry
- Attend and participate in health and safety training and meetings
- Performs testing to support failure analysis by maintenance engineering personnel
- Perform other related duties as required
