TEAM LEADER ENT WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? The Team Leader Entertainment is responsible for managing a team of Relationship Managers and sales support staff in addition to managing the profitability and risk of an assigned portfolio. Responsible for managing and professionally developing relationship managers with an emphasis on sales (CRISP) growth, portfolio growth and cross selling. Provides leadership and guidance to a team in the attainment of profitable relationships and high levels of performance. Responsible for assigned portfolio; developing business opportunities and maintaining a profitable portfolio by building relationships with prospects and customers consistent with the objectives of the bank. This person will actively work with other areas of CNB as well as with other Entertainment colleagues to deliver exemplary service for clients.Must be in good standing under "The Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008" (Safe Act) and must be registered/licensed with the "Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry"; or must be able to be registered under the Safe Act. Must remain in good standing under the Safe Act. WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Establishes individual sales and retention goals and objectives for team and creates an environment that encourages team members to develop profitable relationships and focus their efforts on achieving the highest levels of performance.
  • Ensures that relationship development plans are created, implemented, and monitored for each client or prospect. Conducts progress meetings to review results to goal and provides alternative strategies to ensure individual and team goals are met. Redirects team members' efforts when necessary and helps them achieve their performance objectives.
  • Manages the ongoing measurement, tracking, and reporting of team sales activities and performance metrics.
  • Implements client strategies for both new and existing clients.
  • Regularly accompanies Entertainment Relationship Managers on key client visits and assists them with closing deals.
  • Conducts an annual review of all client relationships to ensure that clients are properly assigned.
  • Monitors relationships to ensure that cross-sell activities and retention efforts are maximized
  • Develops, coaches, and motivates team members; identifies staff development needs and provides educational/training opportunities. Assists with hiring or terminations.
  • Maintains appropriate staffing ratios and manages resources to optimize client support and unit profitability.
  • Identifies develops and builds profitable relationships with prospects and customers consistent with the objectives of the bank.
  • Actively works with customers and develops prospects consistent with the credit culture of the bank. Is pro-actively identifying and working with customers to ensure the credit quality standards of the bank.
  • Calls on existing or prospective clients to discuss and promote all Bank products and services in order to establish a total client banking relationship
  • Negotiates transactions; prices loan products within targeted rate of return; documents and closes loan transactions, ensures conformance with Bank policy and regulatory requirements
  • Develops relationships and support other CNB departments and colleagues to provided customers and prospects the solutions recommended. Participates in internal and external community activities as a representative of CNB, promoting and attracting new colleagues and customers.
  • Review asset management and CNS Brokerage statements with clients. Partner with Wealth Advisor (WA) and/or the City National Securities (CNS) Investment Officer (IO) to communicate with clients about current conditions in the financial markets, investment alternatives, asset allocation and results, review asset management and brokerage account statements. Discuss changes to strategies with WA and or CNS IO.
  • Interfaces with Credit Administration and Credit Manager to ensure credit quality and compliance strategies are implemented and the process is efficient and effective.
  • Insures accurate and timely risk identification.
  • Monitors the loan and credit process. Reviews all final credit structure and recommendations beforehand off to Credit Administration.
  • Works with Credit Manager and Relationship Manager to approve credit transactions that meet client needs and ensures consistency with the credit quality standards and operational compliance requirements of the Bank
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED? Required Qualifications*
  • Must be in good standing under "The Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008" (Safe Act) and must be registered/licensed with the "Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry"; or must be able to be registered under the Safe Act. Must remain in good standing under the Safe Act.
  • Ten years of Private Client or Entertainment Industry lending and servicing experience
  • Three years of management experience

  • Demonstrated sales and relationship management ability.
  • Excellent understanding of all bank products and services applicable to target client segment.
  • Excellent knowledge of commercial credit policies/procedures and risk management techniques.
  • Excellent skills of motivating staff and assisting in the creation and achievement of individual and team goals.
  • Willingness and ability to communicate with staff so that everyone feels informed at all times.
  • Perception as a trusted advisor by both the staff and the client.
  • Strong strategic skills that will assist the staff in creating strategies for each client.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external clients and Bank colleagues to achieve results.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU? Compensation Starting base salary: $141,830 - $263,408 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
