LEAD FAIR LENDING ANALYST- FAIR LENDING RISK ASSESSMENT MGR WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? The Fair and Responsible Banking Risk Assessment Manager is tasked with establishing processes and procedures to perform periodic risk-based assessment of the Bank's fair and responsible banking risks by identifying key inherent risk drivers and control requirements, working with analysts and lines of business on gathering information on risks and controls, concluding and reporting on resulting residual risks, and identifying corrective actions or procedural changes with business areas. In addition to designing and coordinating risk assessment processes and maintaining a 2LOD control inventory for fair and responsible banking laws and regulations (fair lending, UDAP/UDAAP, CRA, HMDA), the Fair and Responsible Banking Risk Assessment Manager supports enterprise assessments of risk, such as the Compliance Risk Assessment and Risk and Control Self Assessment (RCSA) process. WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Use fair and responsible banking expertise to design and support risk assessment processes; determine if control environment is effective in controlling risk, and identify direction of risk
  • Review and document procedures for risk assessment and related processes to ensure repeatability and consistency of approach
  • Coordinate annual fair and responsible banking risk assessments with 1LOD and prepare reporting of results/recommendations to management, Board and committees thereof
  • Communicate any corrective actions or risk mitigation measures and develop processes to track, report and validate corrective actions
  • Maintain the Fair and Responsible Banking Department's control inventories
  • Support ad-hoc projects or remediation efforts related to fair and responsible banking
  • Provides guidance to the Bank's First Line of Defense in relation to fair and responsible banking related topics -
  • Compile, analyze, and interpret information and data about compliance with laws and regulations -Strong ability to collaborate with stakeholders, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels within an organization -
  • Communicate any corrective actions or risk mitigation measures in fair and responsible banking topics for implementation and develop processes to track, report and validate corrective actions
  • Use fair lending expertise to perform redlining, pricing, and underwriting statistical analysis on loan applications and originations for various lending portfolios
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED? Required Qualifications*
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 7 years of banking, financial services, legal, and/or regulatory work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years experience leading teams, projects, programs or other resources.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • 7 years of experience working with fair lending / fair and responsible banking related regulations (i.e. ECOA/Regulation B, HMDA, Fair Housing Act, UDAP/UDAAP, Community Reinvestment Act)
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in lending and/or regulatory compliance
  • Minimum 4 years' experience using fair lending software programs as well as some industry standard mortgage software
  • Good understanding of the credit lifecycle, from marketing, sales, underwriting and servicing of mortgage, consumer loans, and small business loans
  • Strong Excel skills; advanced Excel knowledge preferred (e.g. formulas, user form design, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to clearly and concisely communicate information in PowerPoint Proficiency in multi-tasking and prioritizing projects
  • Effective interpersonal skills Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) designation or prior Regulatory Compliance experience a plus
  • Experience communicating and interacting with regulatory agencies, including exam management and other regulatory affairs
  • For Banking Compliance related roles, Certified Compliance Risk Manager (CRCM)
  • For Wealth Management Compliance roles, experience with a financial institution such as a broker/dealer and/or registered investment adviser
  • For Wealth Management Compliance roles, experience working within a Compliance Investment Management role
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU? Compensation Starting base salary: $101,231 - $172,355 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
