IT RISK DATA ARCHITECT WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? The Risk Data Architect as is part a function that will be integral in supporting the development of the IT Risk Manager's function strategy e.g. identification and development of workstreams in partnership with the Head of IT Risk Manager. The role will support the Lead, to drive and manage all FLoD IT Risk routines to ensure appropriate oversight, monitoring and escalation to senior leadership to ensure efficient risk management. In addition, this function manages and develops risk reporting and metrics to support all FLoD IT Risk routines, including regulatory oversight, issues management, risk advisory updates, escalations of past due / coming due items. This individual may be responsible for supervising / coaching a team of risk professionals and is be part of a function that will command meetings or discussions, leads, collaborates and drives progress forward. The function will help teams interpret, understand, and carry out the projects on behalf of the Leader. This function will act as proxy and information funnel, filter, and facilitator in support for Senior Management as needed and deal with the day to day activities and management of junior staff as needed. Further, the function will address issues/respond on behalf of his/her Manager. WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Develop and maintain data model for key risk and performance indicators and dashboards
- Monitor performance, identify trends, and develop new data views to generate actionable insights for stakeholders
- Automate manual metric processes
- Design and optimize data model for stakeholder reporting
- Work in partnership with Data Engineering and Governance team to build data pipelines to support data models
- Ensure data quality throughout processing, automation, and modeling
- Provide technical expertise in extracting, integrating, and analyzing critical data
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- 10 plus years of experience working at a major financial institution on audit and/or management initiatives programs, including management responsibilities.
- 7 plus years of experience in IT risk and control
- 3 plus years of experience supervising or coordination resources
- Expert knowledge of relational databases and expertise in query authoring on large datasets
- 5+ years of experience with Python or similar programming languages
- Experience working with Snowflake and SQL. Experience of Informatica Cloud would be useful
- Experience working with reporting and visualization tools (Tableau preferred)
- Experience in automating metrics, consolidating data from a variety of source systems, automating metric calculations, and presenting results in dashboards
- Experience in establishing the information needs of stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex information to senior management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong data profiling, cleaning, mining, and technical documentation skills
- Strong knowledge of MS SQL, Snowflake, and data model design
- Proven professional with organized and detail-oriented work practices
- Familiarity with IT and cybersecurity risk
- Financial services industry background
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU? Compensation Starting base salary: $111,408 - $189,738 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
