EXPENSE CONTROL SPECIALIST WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? Responsible for performing all accounts payable and procurement duties, including processing, researching, and analyzing accounts payable and procurement transactions from departments across the bank.In addition, this position will perform other expense management-related accounting, reporting, and analysis functions as well as work with the Accounting Department and adopt new technologies to automate and streamline processes. The Specialist will also support procurement catalogue management and purchase order generation. WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Provide internal support to bank colleagues processing expense reports, invoices, and purchase requests in the Bank's Accounts Payable and Procurement systems
  • Review expense reports for compliance with company policies and relevant regulations
  • Assists in the review of financial information and expense management reports
  • Monitor requisition requests and purchase orders flagged by the Procurement system for review and make necessary updates to process.
  • Manages Accounts Payable Mailbox, answer and respond to incoming phone calls and emails with proper escalation of issues as necessary
  • Processes invoices through a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet upload template
  • Processes, maintains and reconciles E-payables invoices
  • Support maintenance of vendor records in PeopleSoft in partnership with the Vendor Management Office
  • Support and onboard vendors in the Procurement system
  • Aid catalogue management to maintain compliant product offerings and services in Procurement system catalogues.
  • Performs other related duties within the department as required and directed by the Accounts Payable Supervisor
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED? Required Qualifications*
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts payable, procurement and/or accounting
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in an expense control environment

Skills and Knowledge

  • Experience working with tax payer forms (W-8, W-9) and 1099 reporting experience is a plus
