COMMUNITY BANKING INVESTOR PARTNERSHIP ANALYST Los Angeles, CA - San Francisco, CA WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? Responsible for support and execution of onboarding and managing whole loan purchasing transactions and ongoing servicing of the purchased portfolio. Responsibilities include partnering with CRA department and Group leadership in identification, implementation, and execution of partnership opportunities aligning with bank's overall objectives; duties include vendor onboarding, partnership agreements review and assessment, ongoing reporting related to the purchased portfolio and serviced loans, including any research or root cause analysis needed to identify, reconcile, and remediate observed risk of credit portfolio characteristics or operational processes. Responsibilities include overall analysis and measurement of viability and key performance matrices of such partnerships to ensure optimal success in reaching CNB's goals and objectives such as alignment to CNB's risk tolerance and necessities of such loans within CNB's CRA assessment areas and criteria. Financial and reputational analysis should also be in scope. Coordination, preparation, processing, and onboarding of such partnerships with documents for onboarding new vendors to the Vendor Management Office. This role will also maintain procedural documents and provide analytical and progress reporting. WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Coordinate all vendor management tasks inclusive of working with external vendors and internal employees
  • Establish professional and working relationships with internal partners. Ongoing partnership and engagement with CRA department, vendor risk owners and coordinate closely with the vendor risk assessment team to ensure proper engagement and governance is being followed during the onboarding, due diligence phase of vendor management
  • Identify and assess community partnerships' viability aligning with CNB's goals and objectives for small business loans purchasing.
  • Maintain proper information/documentation and records related to the vendors for both internal and external audits.
  • Assists with performing reporting, remitting, reconciliation, research, root cause identification, resolution, and remediation for serviced loans
  • Portfolio management include oversight of the purchased portfolio's credit performance, due diligence, and observations of such portfolio performance adhering to 2LOD's standards
  • Assist with the development and communication of vendor management standards, processes, and procedures in alignment with VMO policies and procedures.
  • Support, track and report on vendor management milestones, activities, and all incoming requests for vendor related assistance
  • Responsible for ensuring all investor guidelines are adhered to including accurate and timely reporting and remittance requirements using internal servicing systems, database, and reporting tools
  • Ensures the completion of accurate and timely reconciliation of all custodial, clearing, and general ledger accounts within the established timelines.
  • Routine reporting to Group leadership on key metrics
  • Manage the onboarding process coordinating with the vendor management office
  • Coordinate all vendor management tasks inclusive of working with external vendors and internal employees
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED? Required Qualifications*
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in third party engagement/vendor management experience in the financial services industry And
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in whole loan purchasing, capital market operations or partnership operations in the financial services industry And
  • Minimum of 3 years in small business, auto, or consumer credit portfolio management and performance analysis And
Additional Qualifications
  • Understanding of secured and unsecured consumer and small business lending and credit underwriting
  • Knowledge and experience of executing whole loan sales, structured finance transactions and/or asset-based securities markets
  • Experience in coordinating whole loan transactions and working with various departments such as credit, legal, compliance and operations.
  • Experience in onboarding third parties, including third party risk management reviews, external servicing and monthly payment reconciliation.
  • Strong project management skills (organizing, planning, reporting, documenting, driving tasks to closure, etc.)
  • Strong qualitative analytical skills, working with data and drawing conclusions.
  • Understanding of consumer lending practices from application through to servicing, including "Know-your-customer"/KYC procedures, other financial crimes considerations, data privacy, and credit/underwriting criteria.
  • Seasoned problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for internal and external audiences
  • Ability to create influential documents, presentations and group or team facilitation.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools; specifically, Excel and PowerPoint

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU? Compensation Starting base salary: $101,231 - $172,355 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
