Senior DistributionManager InternalFleet

Type of Employment: Permanent

Location: Oslo, Norway

THE ROLE

The Senior Distribution Manager is overall responsible for the distribution operations within the assigned market. This role includes personnel management for both managers and drivers, and representation of the region/market in the European leadership team. The Senior Distribution Manager will implement agreed operational procedures and oversee the general distribution operations within the region. Additionally, the role involves conducting driver meetings for the internal fleet drivers and staying updated on industry standards and government regulations.

WHAT YOU'LL DO 

Here are ways that you'll help make journeys better:  

  • Responsible for ensuring driver performance and compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.

  • Responsible for the maintenance and follow-up of the markets tank truck equipment.

  • Provide leadership and support to both managers and drivers, ensuring alignment with company goals and standards.

  • Overall responsible for following up relevant corrective measures from audits and observations.

  • Maintain a safe, positive, energetic, and healthy work environment for the drivers in strict compliance with the company code of conduct, business ethics and compliance with legal regulations. Target for an overall high employee survey (MyVoice or equivalent) result from the drivers.

  • Represent the assigned market in the European leadership team, contributing to strategic planning and decision-making.

  • Provide regular training programs and review / feedback (appraisals) to drivers for correct procedural compliance. Provide coaching, counseling, and disciplining actions to drivers in aide of performance improvement.

  • Part of the companies Emergency Response Team (ERT).

  • Implement and monitor operational procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance with company policies. 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED 

We want you to join our team! Here's what we're looking for: 

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Finance or commerce. Other relevant work experience or higher education degree will also be considered.

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in leadership and people management. Logistics is preferred, but not mandatory.

  • In-depth knowledge of relevant industry laws connected to labor law and regulations for ADR transport.

  • A proven track record for excellent HSSE results.

  • Demonstrated experience from first line response and/or safety advisory is preferred, but not mandatory.

  • Curious, and with a drive to proactively develop insight to support the company in developing the business.

  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills. Able to communicate and collaborate well with all layers in the organization.

  • Strategic thinker with strong inclination toward collaboration and speed.

  • Ability to connect and build strong relationships with others, demonstrating strong emotional intelligence and an ability to communicate clearly and persuasively.
