POSITION SUMMARY:
NOT AN OFFICE POSITION
This is a field position that supports the Lead Auditor and the Audit Department in the auditing of stores on a scheduled basis. The Audit Assistant will be responsible to count merchandise at store level in a professional, accurate, and efficient manner.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Verifies merchandise and cash in each of the Company stores by conducting a physical count using a handheld computer
2. Notifies store manager of wrong prices and pulls out-of-code merchandise.
3. Count and verify cash assets on site.
4. Verifies money orders, lottery ticket inventory and bank deposits.
5. Verifies gasoline inventory.
6. Performs surveys to verify compliance with operational and financial procedures.
7. Works in safe manner by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
8. Able to work independently with little supervision.
9. Performs multi-tasks in a fast-paced environment.
10. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Communicates with Lead Auditor
- Communicates with Store Analyst on day of audit
- Works with Audit Supervisor to ensure accurate counting of stores
- Research findings of audits if directed to do so
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to take ownership over work and relationships with stores
- Possess strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills
- Team player with a professional demeanor
- Strong communication skills
- Valid Driver's License, Insurance, and vehicle (Company car not provided, mileage, Travel Time reimbursement – See Notes)
PHYSICAL DEMAND:
- Ability to stand, bend over, work close to the ground, and climb ladders for long periods of time
- Ability to use a computer
- Ability to periodically lift for moving of merchandise to count accurately (> 40 lbs)
- Ability to work in extreme cold or hot temperatures (coolers, sheds, drive thru, freezer)
- Ability to use a handheld scanner
Pay rate: $16-20 per hour depending on experience

- Company provided laptop for company requirements only
- Mileage paid: Mileage is paid after the 1st 20 miles going to work and after the 1st 20 miles returning from work.
- Example: Home to Store 270**** totals 40 miles you will get paid for 20 miles and returning from store 270**** to home totals 40 miles you will get paid for 20 miles
- Home to Store 40 miles – 20 miles = 20 miles paid
- Store to home 40 miles – 20 miles = 20 miles paid
- Example: Home to Store 270**** totals 40 miles you will get paid for 20 miles and returning from store 270**** to home totals 40 miles you will get paid for 20 miles
- Travel Time Paid: Travel hours are paid after the 1st 30 minutes going to work and after the 1st 30 minutes returning from work.
- Example: Home to Store 270**** totals 1 hour travel you will get paid for 30 minutes and returning from store 270**** to home totals 1 hour you will get paid for 30 minutes
- Home to Store 1 hour – 30 minutes = 30 minutes paid
- Store to home 1 hour – 30 minutes – 30 minutes paid
- Example: Home to Store 270**** totals 1 hour travel you will get paid for 30 minutes and returning from store 270**** to home totals 1 hour you will get paid for 30 minutes
