Job Purpose

As a Parent Liaison, you will work with the school Principal to create and maintain a positive school climate among parents, students, and school staff.

How You Will Impact Education

  • Formulate strategic plan to increase parental and community involvement within the school environment
  • Development of Parent Programs that promote higher achievement for students
  • Understanding of Title One requirements and compliance to ensure all necessary documents are created, implemented and archived.
  • Creation of Newsletters and other communications as needed throughout school year
  • Weekly reports of activities and events to administration
  • Turn in parent log each week
  • Turn in parent volunteer report
  • Increase community partnerships with development of goals for these partnerships in relationship to school strategic plan and school goals
  • Direct involvement in student recruitment with direction from administration and CSUSA
  • Recruit Parent Ambassadors to serve as parent leaders and advocates for the school
  • Develop incentive programs to support students and parents as needed by school
  • Create reports as needed by State, Federal and school organizations
  • Recruit parent volunteers
  • Recruit prospective students
  • Make connections with community
  • Host family nights each month
  • Recruit and develop resources for parent support

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Possess basic language skills consistent with a high school education, including writing and speaking.
  • Possesses knowledge and demonstrates understanding of the rules of spelling, punctuation and grammar.
  • Has the ability to write legibly.
  • Has the ability to communicate effectively with adults in a variety of settings.
  • Possesses mathematical skills which must include basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, computation, and problem solving. Must be able to use percentages and fractions.
  • Is able to work independently under the supervision of the administrator.
  • Is self-motivated.
  • Is able to problem solve as needed.
  • Possess organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in basic computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Internet/Email.
  • Must be able to work effectively without constant direct supervision.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 year College Degree required
  • Two (2) years of successful experience in a related field
  • Commitment to company values.
  • Such alternatives to the above requirements as CSUSA may find appropriate and acceptable.
  • Must have access to dependable transportation.
  • May perform other duties assigned.
