As a Curriculum Specialist, you will enhance the effectiveness of state team support to schools, the State Team Curriculum Specialist, under the direction of the assigned Director of Curriculum, will collaborate with school-based leadership and Curriculum Resource Teachers (CRTs) to strategically plan and deliver the school's instructional program. In addition, the Curriculum Specialist will focus on growing the skillsets of the school-based CRTs in the areas of instructional coaching, modeling, and instructional best practices as well as collaborate with the school-based leadership team on developing the school's professional development priorities.
How You Will Impact Education
Instruction/Education Responsibilities
- Development of school-wide strategic plans
- Data analysis and action planning
- Coaching cycles and Professional Development plans
- Setting expectations for and facilitating instructional planning based on data.
- Providing feedback to CRTs on PD, PLCs, coaching, modeling, etc.
- School visits on a regular cadence to action plan and capacity build with CRTs and school-based leadership
- Assist in the planning and delivery of area and state meetings and trainings for school-based leaders and CRTs.
- Curriculum Development including oversight and development of curriculum maps and scope and sequence.
- Assist in the development and revision of specific common assessments and test items as directed.
- Create and deliver professional development as directed.
- Coordinate and participate in QUEST 2.0 Observation Visits
- Collaborate across departments to meet the needs of schools.
- Engage in professional learning communities across geographic areas to share best practices.
- Provide support to CSUSA special programs and initiatives as requested.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Educational Leadership or Curriculum & Instruction preferred, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- 2-5 years related experience and /or training.
- Computer proficient: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), Student Information System (SIS), other relevant software, educational technology, and mobile communication device.
