Description

JOB PURPOSE

The Assistant Project Manager will support the successful planning, execution, and completion of projects within the organization. The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with project managers and other team members to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and align with the company's goals and strategic plan.

  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Task Management --
    • Prioritize and manage various tasks and requests from team members, clients, and stakeholders.
    • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of ongoing projects and initiatives.
  • Problem Solving --
    • Quickly assess and address issues as they arise, employing creative problem-solving techniques.
    • Research and gather necessary information to resolve challenges efficiently.
  • Project Coordination --
    • Assist in the planning, execution, and tracking of projects.
    • Coordinate with team members to ensure project milestones are met within established timelines.
  • Communication --
    • Serve as a liaison between different departments, conveying information effectively and ensuring seamless collaboration.
    • Keep stakeholders informed of project status updates and any relevant developments.
  • Resource Management --
    • Organize and manage resources, including time, budget, and materials, to support project goals.
    • Identify potential resource constraints and propose solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Documentation --
    • Maintain accurate records, including project documentation, meeting minutes, and action items.
    • Create and update project-related documentation as needed.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Basic understanding of project management principles and methodologies

  JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Previous experience in a similar role or in project management
  • Project or change management (PMP or Prosci) certifications preferred, but not required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving results and achieving objectives
  WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the responsibilities of this position, the work environment characteristics listed below are representative of the environment the employee will encounter:

  • Usual office working conditions.
  PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • No physical exertion required.
  • Travel within or outside of state.
  • Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move objects.

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with CSUSA salary and benefit policy. Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be those established by Charter Schools USA.

 

FLSA OVERTIME CATEGORY

Job is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

 

EVALUATION

Performance will be evaluated in accordance with Charter Schools USA's policy.
