About the Opportunity:


Brown University's School of Professional Studies (SPS) brings a Brown education to new audiences of learners: those focused on development of skills and a breadth of knowledge necessary for professional success and leadership. We leverage Brown's intellectual centers of excellence, rigorous teaching, and developmental approach to learning in a range of programs, including serving students outside of traditional degree programs. We partner with Brown departments, centers, institutes, and schools to develop degree and non-degree programs, and to support the recruitment, retention, and placement success of master's students, including traditional, non-traditional, and professional students.


Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of this role is to identify, outreach, and recruit qualified students to our graduate programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the graduate degree marketplace, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.


The Graduate Recruitment Coordinator will manage a portfolio of prospective students across the full funnel, with a primary focus from initial inquiry, through application completion. The successful candidate will possess a genuine enthusiasm for recruitment work, including phone conversations with a personable enrollment approach. The incumbent will understand the value of professional collaboration within a student-centered environment. Successful candidates will have prior experience meeting enrollment targets and/or a demonstrated capacity to convert prospective adult learners into applicants and enrolled students in a fast-paced environment.


Major Responsibility: Prospect Outreach and Application Coaching 60 %


● Identify and recruit prospective students for their assigned portfolio of SPS graduate degree programs.

● Utilize multiple methods of communication (e.g. phone, email, virtual/in-person events, etc.) to engage with prospective students and provide accurate and timely information throughout the full funnel, with emphasis from prospect inquiry through application completion.
● Answer inquiries and educate prospective students on application requirements, admission process, & program details, and help prospective students determine best fit.
● Engage with prospective students throughout the application process to ensure application completion with required materials.
● Implement recruitment strategies for traditional and non-traditional student populations to meet outreach & enrollment targets for assigned programs within their portfolio.
● Collaborate with Program Directors & SPS Admissions team to ensure smooth transition from prospective applicant to enrolled student.
● Other duties as assigned.


Major Responsibility: Data Tracking & Analysis 30 %


● Monitor and track recruitment and applications metrics within CRM and report findings to management.
● Present reports and data regularly and as needed.
● Compile and analyze data to inform strategic direction and action to positively impact enrollment.
● Other duties as assigned.


Major Responsibility: Recruitment Event Support 10%


● Assist in coordinating and hosting recruitment events, including online or in-person information sessions, with registration communications, invitations, and follow-up.
● Ability to represent SPS and the University effectively in a variety of settings across modalities.
● Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:


Education and Experience


● Bachelor's degree and a minimum of one year of full-time professional experience in admissions, advisement, recruiting, educational outreach (secondary education) or sales role.


Job Competencies

● Excellent customer service, interpersonal, presentation, oral and written communication skills. Proven ability to be culturally adaptable and work well in diverse environments and with diverse clientele.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
● Excellent organizational and time management skills.
● Proficiency with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software or proven ability to learn and use new technology
● Familiarity with Google Suite & Zoom.
● Data driven and familiarity with reporting and analysis.
● Ability to multitask and work under conditions of high volume during peak periods
● Demonstrated ability to support a community of diverse perspectives and cultures in an inclusive environment.
