Job Description

The Brinks Company is looking for a Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis who will be responsible for reporting, forecasting, planning, and financial analysis for senior management. This role is responsible for the concise and accurate consolidation, reporting, and analysis of data from the countries to the corporate level. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Forecasting and planning

  • Management reporting and analysis

Financial planning and Analysis

  • Set the FP&A standard for the function by combining business and financial acumen to design, implement and maintain FP&A processes to provide accurate, timely and actionable analysis to support decision making and performance measurement.

  • Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts including in support of overall company strategy.

  • Manage monthly and quarterly management reporting process including timely and accurate reporting and analysis of results and outlooks.

  • Prepare financial presentations for management and the board of directors with a focus on ensuring key messages are easily communicated.

  • Contribute to the quarterly earnings process and other external reporting as needed.

  • Develop partnerships and collaborate with stakeholders to improve financial projections and processes.

  • Create recurring or ad-hoc reports for the purpose of allowing management to make data driven decisions.

  • Support projects and strategic initiatives as needed.

BI

  • Strong functional user of FP&A financial systems with the ability to troubleshoot issues and guide the direction of system changes in support of achieving reporting objectives.

People development

  • Manage analysts within FP&A reporting and analysis function, building out organizational capacity.

  • Interview, hire and train employees; plan, assign and direct work, and appraise performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years finance or accounting experience including managerial experience

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Experience with financial systems, such as Oracle EPM (FCC, PBC, HFM, Essbase and SmartView) or Oracle EBS

  • CPA or MBA designation.

Professional Skills:

  • Strong business and financial acumen

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with an ability to manage multiple projects and timelines

  • Financial systems experience with ability to reconcile information from multiple sources

  • Coaching and development of others

  • FP&A, financial reporting & consolidating experience

  • Strong consultative, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills

  • Effectively leverage functional and cross-functional resources to solve problems, improve processes and meet objectives

  • Effectively drives and manages change, challenges the status quo and champions new and innovative ideas
