We have a challenging opportunity for a Director Financial Planning & Analysis – Latam.

The Director Financial Planning & Analysis is responsible for directing all Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) for the Latam region.  The Director of FP&A will be a Business Partner to the Latam Leadership team to drive profitable business growth and support sound financial decisions.   The Director of FP&A will support the Corporate FP&A team and work closely with the other regional FP&A teams. The Director of FP&A will be responsible for preparing and providing timely and relevant financial analysis and KPIs, business plans, and the identification of opportunities and gaps necessary to make informed business decisions.

Financial planning and Analysis

  • Set the FP&A standard for the function by combining business and financial acumen to design, implement and maintain FP&A processes to provide accurate, timely and actionable analysis to support decision making and performance measurement.

  • Define the metrics required to measure business performance, compare actual data to forecasted values, and help management to develop a plan for identifying and addressing performance opportunities and gaps.

  • Engage and challenge the management team, if necessary, on direction and strategy, ensuring that the business goals are achieved while maintaining prudence in financial control and asset protection.

  • Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts.

  • Compare performance with historical results, report on and interpret results of operations and relevant key performance indicators.

  • Responsible for all aspects of the annual and long-term Plan (i.e., development and compilation, process, timelines and presentation).

  • Ensure adequate Line of Business (LOB) and SG&A reporting.

  • Prepare quarterly, annual results, and other financial presentations.

  • Partner with Management, including sales, operations, HR and IT by identifying, evaluating, and supporting implementation of key operating, strategic and new business initiatives.

  • Provide support for monthly, quarterly, and annual results for the Latam region and prepare respective financial analysis.

  • Coordinate with Corporate FP&A activities to support company needs.

  • Support the review and consolidation of the quarterly Management Letter of Representation

BI

  • Oversee financial systems applications such as data warehouse and FP&A tools necessary for the function as necessary.

People development

  • Lead the FP&A function for the Latam region.

Others

  • Perform and coordinate analysis of various ad hoc projects as may be requested by Management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a combination of public accounting and corporate finance responsibilities, including accounting, planning, forecasting, tax and treasury.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing the accounting, financial planning and analysis processes for field operations at the regional level in the banking, manufacturing, processing, transportation or logistics industry.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a global finance role.

  • Bachelor's Degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA or MBA designation.

  • Advanced skills in linking corporate strategies to the development of detailed financial plans and developing profitable business outcomes.
