The Bob's Finance team is seeking a highly motivated Senior Financial Analyst. The senior analyst will work in a dynamic fast-paced retail environment to using Oracle, Power BI and other reporting tools. The role will need to be able to shift priorities as the business dictates and work through dynamic financial analysis. Key qualities for the role require critical thinking, strong communications, and follow-up.
Key responsibilities include: Understanding of data models, understanding different types of financial analysis and committed to quality work products. The role will report to Senior Director of FP&A.
We're open to the right person working hybrid for this role with some days on-site in our Manchester, CT Corporate HQ.
Job Responsibilities
Own the development of new reports and insights for the business.
Able to use advanced reporting tools and functionality
Comfortable navigating and integrating large disparate data sets. Can work independently and manage work when it is unscripted – identifying problems or areas of ambiguity to peers and managers.
Actively builds automation and efficiencies into repeated work products to minimize non value added work
Become secondary administrative support for Oracle
Proficiency in reading and interpreting financial documents and financial modeling.
Strong understanding of Retail performance drivers – past experience is a plus
Proven quantitative and analytical skills with a high emphasis on quality of work – including accuracy, connection to business drivers and clarity to end customers
Ability to use historical trends to develop dynamic forecasting models.
High proficiency with quantitative data tools such as Excel, Power BI, SQL and Oracle
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or Economics
5+ years in various Finance roles with exposure to different functional areas with accomplishments in each role
Ability to think broadly and independently while actively listening to business insights
Ability to establish credibility with senior leaders and functional experts
Thrive in a high performance, fast‐paced, entrepreneurial environment often in ambiguous circumstances while prioritizing business needs
Balance multiple projects and meet necessary deadlines with limited supervision. Proven thought leadership skills, including the ability to be innovative and be able to drive results both as an individual and team environment.
Demonstrate a high level of intellectual curiosity
Ability to travel as needed to stores and for meetings with regional teams
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Business
7+ years experience in Corporate Finance
