Job Summary

We're looking for an eCommerce Software Developers to develop, run and maintain our My Bob's website. We would like the internal developers to be embedded with our business teams to understand the more complex business processes and not completely rely on outsourced developers.

These positions will be working with an internal IT staff as well as the business e-COMM teams. Additionally, they will co-develop with an external SI partner to achieve business goals established by our leadership team.

We are open to a remote work arrangement for the right person, with the expectation of travel into the home office as needed (1-2 times a quarter the most) during the year.

Responsibilities

  • Author detailed technical design specifications for new features and functionality to support ecommerce roadmap initiatives

  • Collaborate and lead development activities with offshore development team

  • Hands on development for key front end ecommerce code requirements within each release of software lifecycle

  • Lead, design and code integration API implementations with internal and external 3rd party vendors

  • Mentor and train junior developers as required

  • Responsible for e-commerce production support. Being a primary support contact for all issues related to our website, including managing the help desk ticketing system.

  • Proactively monitor the application health, analyze and resolve problems, as well as end user requests in a timely manner.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including 3rd party application vendors, on integration to troubleshoot and resolve website issues.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement processes including identification of root cause and corrective actions.

  • Documenting and delivering a consolidated technical point of view from Bob's IT team for all new development activities with our IS ecommerce partner. This leadership activity will guide our co-development track to support business ecommerce roadmap.

  • Responsible for the handoff of designs and remediation plans to offshore developer team to ensure proper execution of code, as well as timely delivery

  • Triage level 2/3 support tickets as assigned

  • Debug existing code to troubleshoot and identify root cause of level 2/3 production support tickets

  • Communicate clear action plan with detailed remediation plan to resolve production support items

  • Senior level competencies for designing and writing code that is easily maintained and understood by other developers

  • Providing leadership feedback and enforce standards with code reviews for all new functionality as it is being developed

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Ability to operate with a sense of urgency and to rally appropriate teams to troubleshoot issues and identify root causes quickly and effectively.

  • Excellent communication and coordination skills to integrate various functions in a coordinated manner and deliver the responsibilities to the customer's satisfaction.

  • Minimum 5 years' experience with eCommerce support and development, with preference on SAP Hybris commerce solution

  • Minimum of 3 years of development experiences with JAVA, JavaScript, Restful APIs and Sprint framework, and experiences with Angular is strongly preferred.

  • Strong skills in data analysis and ability to communicate insightful analysis and solution recommendations to various levels of management.

  • Hands on skills required to fix and test the code bugs and promote code through release pipeline.

  • Strong experience conducting prioritization discussions, maintaining / managing backlog, sprint planning in a scrum agile implementation approach using tools (Experience with JIRA and Confluence is a plus)

  • Self-initiative and ability to be operate effectively on your own with our business and technology partners.
