Job Overview

We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Manager to oversee all equipment, property, and maintenance operations within our distribution center. This role requires hands-on repair capabilities as well as team leadership and coordination with vendors and internal departments. You will bring strong organizational and communication skills to lead maintenance efforts, ensure safety compliance, manage preventative maintenance processes, and support operational continuity across all warehouse functions.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee all equipment and property maintenance operations within the facility.

- Supervise and guide maintenance team, including staffing decisions and training needs.

- Coordinate with other departments to address facility and equipment concerns.

- Track and manage supply inventory, maintenance schedules, and power equipment history.

- Perform hands-on repairs and work directly with contractors on major maintenance tasks.

- Administer recycling and cost-control programs to support sustainability goals.

- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and participate actively in the Safety Committee.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Required Education:
    • High school diploma or equivalent experience in a warehouse setting.
  • Experience:
    • 3+ years' experience managing a facility or building; to include equipment, property, and maintenance operations
    • 1–3 years+ experience in mechanical repair of warehouse equipment (e.g., conveyors, forklifts).
  • Other Qualifications:
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
    • Ability to operate powered industrial equipment
    • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
    • Ability to manage competing priorities and multitask effectively.
    • Certifications or advanced degrees if applicable.

Work Environment

  • This position is based on-site in our Distribution Center
  • Collaboration is key, with regular virtual meetings and ongoing communication through various digital platforms (phone, email, web conferencing, etc.)

  • Able to sit, walk, stand, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch and move items weighing up to 50lbs without assistance
