JOB PURPOSE:  

To be responsible for ensuring that all signage maintained by our company remains in optimal condition, visually appealing, and functional.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in electrical or maintenance fields is helpful.
  2. Proven experience in sign maintenance, electrical maintenance, or related field.
  3. Strong understanding of electrical systems and components.
  4. Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  6. Physical ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and lift heavy objects.
  7. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  1. Perform routine inspections of signage to identify any damage, defects, or malfunctions.
  2. Execute repairs promptly and effectively to ensure signage remains operational and meets quality standards.
  3. Replace bulbs, LEDs, and other components as needed to maintain visibility and clarity of signage.
  4. Conduct periodic cleaning and maintenance to preserve the aesthetic appeal of signage.
  5. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues related to signage systems.
  6. Document maintenance activities, including repairs performed and materials used.
  7. Fulfill some general maintenance requests based on needs of the business and seasonal requirements.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

  1. Work is normally performed in a heavy equipment repair facility environment, with the presence and use of petroleum products such as oil, lubricants and cleaning solutions. All sign work is performed outdoors.
  2. Able to lift, move, push or pull up to 50 pounds frequently, with or without mechanical assistant.
  3. Regular stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching and or crawling.
  4. Prolonged periods standing and walking.
  5. Use and manipulation of hand and power tools, welders and common machining equipment.
  6. Ability to see and hear in a manner that properly executes the position essential duties.
  7. Physically qualified for a driver's license.
