PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the first point of contact for Bridge by answering incoming phone calls and greeting visitors, while also providing support to the billing and administrative teams.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Duty 1: Answers phones, greets visitors and directs both to appropriate personnel.

Duty 2: Assists in the billing process for Home Health and Hospice, including timely submission of claims, processing/posting payer remits, reconciling physician services, and managing Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) for Medicaid patients.

Duty 3:  Assists in the submission of regulatory filings, such as Notices of Election (NOE) and Notices of Admission (NOA), ensuring strict adherence to CMS guidelines.

Duty 4: Completes daily deposit logs for billing personnel.

Duty 5: Prepares and maintains Home Health, Hospice, Billing, and referral charts/packets.

Duty 6: Orders all office supplies for Bridge and maintains adequate levels of clinical supplies for supply room.

Duty 7: Completes electronic medical record software tasks in support of clinicians.

Duty 8: Processes incoming/outgoing mail, including UPS mailings.

Duty 9: Provides back up coverage for Bridge Medical Records.

Duty 10: Assists in other financial, billing, and administrative related functions as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous experience with basic accounting principles
  • Word processing and experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to problem solve
  • Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Understands and respects patients' rights.
  • Commitment to and understanding of the philosophy, mission, and goals of the agency and standards and regulations governing it.

     

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Home care experience.
  • Medical billing experience

     

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position requires a full range of body motions with intermittent walking, lifting, bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, and standing. The associate will be required to walk for up to one hour a day, sit for four to six hours a day and stand for one hour a day. The individual must be able to lift twenty to fifty pounds and reach work above the shoulders. The individual must have good eye-hand coordination and fine finger dexterity for simple grasping tasks. The individual must have excellent verbal communication skills to perform daily tasks. The associate must have corrected vision and hearing in the normal range.
