Position Summary
The Health Sciences, Education and Wellness Institute (HSEWI) division is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time tenure track faculty member for Fall 2025 in the Medical Dosimetry department. The Medical Dosimetry faculty will perform duties and functions under the general direction of the Provost and shall be responsible primarily to the Dean of the Health Sciences, Education and Wellness Institute.
The full-time instructor shall perform duties and responsibilities in collaboration with the Program Chair, Clinical Coordinator, Program Faculty and Clinical Preceptors. The instructor shall perform duties in compliance and adhere to JRCERT accreditation standards. Other responsibilities include participation in assessing student learning outcomes; developing, revising, and implementing curriculum; maintaining current knowledge and skills in the area of assignment; building collaborative relationships within the BC community and the radiation oncology community at large; demonstrating a strong commitment to student success and fostering a positive, caring learning environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion. As a full time tenure track instructor in the Medical Dosimetry Program, the individual is responsible for teaching, observing, and evaluating in didactic and/or clinical settings.
The successful candidate must reside in Washington State by the start of the position and demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching in person. This includes teaching on the Bellevue College campus and participating in non-teaching duties such as committee service, advising, and professional development activities. While there may be opportunities to teach online or hybrid courses, faculty are expected to maintain a significant presence on campus to support students, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to the college community.

Pay, Benefits & Work SchedulePosition Salary Range: $81,757.08/year - $114,664.94/year
Annual salary is based on a 176-day contract with a minimum of $81,757.08; beginning salary will be determined by the assessment of the candidate's education and related experience. New hires start no higher than $87,663.74 unless exceptional circumstances prevail. Certain positions may also be eligible for assignment/project-based additional compensation, including a High Demand Stipend up to $8,350 annually, prorated based on the discipline and duration of the assignment. All additional compensations are subject to change depending on funding and negotiated agreement.

About the DepartmentThe Medical Dosimetry program at Bellevue College (BC) offers personalized and intensive instruction to form a solid foundation for a rewarding career in this field. Bellevue College has the only Medical Dosimetry program in Washington State and is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). The program is comprised of faculty and staff who oversee didactic and clinical instruction which is aligned with a professional curriculum published by American Association of Medical Dosimetrists (AAMD). Once a student graduates from the program, they will be eligible to take the national certification board exam administered by Medical Dosimetry Certification Board (MDCB).
Essential FunctionsTeaching duties include:
- Promote teaching and learning in didactic and clinical settings for Medical Dosimetry.
- Assess student learning outcomes and provide students with timely written and verbal feedback.
- May participate in curriculum revisions with the integration of the latest research aimed at continuous improvement and new course development.
- Utilize a variety of teaching and learning strategies and innovative techniques including the integration of technology and the latest research to assist students in the achievement of learning outcomes and assessment of learning.
- Clinical instructors must have flexibility in teaching schedules.
Non-teaching duties include:
- Participate in work with the advisory committee to engage community interests in Medical Dosimetry Therapy education.
- Refer students to appropriate college resources as necessary.
- Participate in professional development activities related to teaching and learning theory and education in Medical Dosimetry.
- Actively support student success in alignment with college diversity goals, initiatives, and activities.
- Maintain Medical Dosimetry Certification Board (MDCB) credentials.
- Clinical instructors must adhere to and maintain clinical onboarding requirements including CPR and immunizations.
- Option for additional work beyond annual contract such as work during summer quarter.
- Bachelor's degree, current MDCB credentials, and experience working as a Medical Dosimetrist, Didactic.
- Clinical instructors must have flexibility to meet during scheduled clinic times.
- The applicant will require the ability to travel to Bellevue College clinical affiliates.
- For clinical onboarding: BLS CPR, immunizations up to date.
- Master's degree or intentions of pursuing a master's degree.
- Prior teaching experience at the community or college level.
- Prior experience in supervising students in a clinical setting.
- Proficiency in evaluation, instruction, and advising.
- Additional modality certifications, and department leadership experience in coordinating department scheduling and quality assurance.
- ARRT credential in Radiation Therapy and Washington State Department of Health RT license.
