UPHOLSTERER SUPERVISOR - MOTION The Upholsterer Supervisor will be a hands on production supervisor of motion furniture. Responsibilities: Plan, direct and coordinate activities of the work cell to ensure that goals or objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame. Review daily schedule to determine time for completing projects. Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of schedule and arranges for assignment of personnel. Review and modify schedules or plans as required. Prepare cell reports for management. Confers with plant management to provide technical advice and to resolve problems. Makes sure all team members specialize on one job but cross trained on others to keep the work flow. Make sure all supplies are in the work area for employees to complete the job. Enforce company rules and regulations to employees. Manage time, attendance and vacation policies of all associates. Qualifications/Skills: High school diploma or equivalent. 2 to 3 years' experience in furniture production, preferable motion 2 to 3 years' experience in a supervisory team lead role in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of furniture assembly, processes, quality control and materials Understanding of safety regulations and quality standards in furniture manufacturing.
