Academic Electrophysiologist- Banner University Medical Center Phoenix


The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Arizona-Phoenix in partnership with the Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ is recruiting a BC/BE Electrophysiologist to work in the area of clinical electrophysiology. Applicants must be board certified or eligible in cardiology and electrophysiology. Candidates should have skills within atrial fibrillation ablation, device placement, lead extraction, and advanced VT ablation, and teaching in the field of EP and Cardiovascular Medicine.

Specific clinical areas of expertise sought include:

Atrial Fibrillation Ablation

Complex VT Ablation

Device placement (pacemakers, defibrillators)

Lead extraction

Excellence in patient care in an inpatient and outpatient setting

Interest and skills in teaching

Academically oriented within either a clinical educator/clinical scholar pathway

Successful candidates must have a MD degree from a recognized accredited university (or foreign equivalent) and must be eligible for an unrestricted Arizona medical license, be board certified in internal medicine and board certified/board eligible in cardiovascular medicine and electrophysiology. The individual we seek will have fellowship training in both cardiology and electrophysiology and be board certified or board eligible in both with the intention of becoming board certified. The ideal candidate will demonstrate potential for excellence in clinical care and teaching. This is a full-time position for an Assistant, Associate, or Professor Level.
