Banner University Medical Group is seeking an experienced Inpatient Post Acute Kidney and Liver Transplant Nurse Practitioner to join our highly trained Transplant Team. Our Nurse Practitioners provide medical management to kidney and liver transplant patients throughout their post-transplant phase of care. This is a 100% inpatient role. Practice details:

  • Inpatient support; Day time coverage 8-day stretch; off for 6 days; off every other weekend; no call.
  • Multidisciplinary team with full support and partnership with transplant pharmacists, nurse coordinators, dieticians, financial coordinators, and social workers.
  • Typical day consists of post-transplant medical management, immunosuppressant level and lab review, coordination of care as well as daily rounding from operating room until discharge.
  • Consulting with other departments in Infectious Disease, Hepatology, Cardiology, and other specialties.
  • Educational opportunities including weekly Transplant Selection Committee, Quality Meetings, Rounds as well as other team activities.

Qualifications:

  • NP experience in Hepatology and/or Transplant Nephrology preferred, however new grads are welcome with RN critical care or specialty experience.
  • Current prescribing privileges including a DEA license for controlled substances.
  • Current Arizona Nurse Practitioner license
  • Current CPR, BLS, and ACLS
