As part of our engineering team, you will work with commercial geospatial products and solutions for key military, security, and incident response operations, to a variety of commercial development and research initiatives.

We are looking for a software test engineer who will be able to plug into a dynamic and fast paced team of engineers. The test engineer will work with our development team, which develops cutting-edge software in comprehensive discovery, advanced exploitation, and rapid dissemination of mission-critical geospatial data. The test engineer will be responsible for installing and executing integration testing on multiple software products from across the GXP ecosystem -- including desktop, server-based, web-based applications, and web services -- and will need to develop a strong understanding of how the applications work together. The candidate will be responsible for manual testing of user interfaces and back-end services. Experience in automated testing is a plus.


Typical responsibilities of a Software Test Engineer will include:

o Create test cases
o Create automated tests

o Testing of software user interfaces (both desktop and web-based)

o Verifying bugs and user stories
o Participate in SCRUMS
o Implement and apply the principles of SAFe Agile
o Troubleshooting backend server services
o Running automated test scripts, evaluating test results, and working with software developers to resolve failures
o Identifying testing gaps and writing new automated tests or test cases
o Install GXP software products

Pay Information:

Salary Range: $73,370 - $124,740
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Required Skills :

• Basic understanding of software testing, and automated testing methodologies.

• Ability to work in a collaborative environment.

• Work is performed under general direction. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions.

• Ability to exert influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization.

• Team player with a proactive attitude, and able to adapt and be productive in a dynamic environment.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Familiar with Windows Server 2012, and 2016, UNIX, Linux (RHEL or CentOS 7)



Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Experience in FMV, GEOINT, IMINT
Experience with Azure DevOps
Experience testing complex distributed systems that involve multiple web services, databases, and executables interacting with each other.
Experience using and testing RESTful web services
Experience with build and test automation systems such as Jenkins, Bamboo, etc
Experience with scripting in Python and bash languages
Experience with Powershell
Familiarity with Cypress automation tool
Familiarity with unit test frameworks such as junit, pytest, Python nose, Python tavern, C++ Catch, etc
Experience with Linux systems administration
Experience working with VMs (VirtualBox, Vshpere, Hyper-V, VMware, or others)



Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $73370 - $124740
