BAE Systems, a global leader in the defense industry, is seeking a full-time Senior Project Financial Analyst based in either Radford, VA or Kingsport, TN. You will support the Ordnance Systems Inc. (OSI) business's Modernization portfolio, which includes a variety of construction, sustainment, and retrofit projects. Serving as a member of the Finance organization under oversight of the Project Controls Manager, you will support the group and management in the planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of projects of varying contract type, size, and complexity.
As a Senior Project Financial Analyst, you will participate in the development, creation, maintenance, and tracking of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Performance Measurement Baselines (PMB). You will monitor and reconcile all costs against the project budgets, track cost and schedule performance, conduct estimate at complete (EAC) forecasts, and provide insights into variances that may arise and implement necessary corrective actions. You will be the main finance interface with program management/operations and will support the planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of projects of varying contract type, size, and complexity.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's degree with 4 years experience or equivalent experience
- Experience in financial-focused project control
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
- Experience in business and financial analysis, variance analysis, and forecasting
- Data analysis and databases and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Graduate degree in business administration, finance, or accounting
- Expertise in MS Excel, Power BI, and other data analysis tools
- Experience in Defense/Government Contracting

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $71600 - $121700
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
