Job Description
We are looking for a Business Area Leader in Air Transport to work in our Fort Wayne, Indiana facility. In this role you will:

  • Provide operational input to overall Fort Wayne business strategy
  • Collaborate with design centers to capture, launch and transition of new products
  • Contribute fully to annual operations planning for the business
  • Operationalize strategy with 3 to 5 year vision, specific to area of work
  • Understand, evaluate and critique quarterly financial plan inputs
  • Support customer growth opportunities
  • Decide and/or collaborate on decisions regarding outsourcing versus vertical integration direction
  • Maintain a team that is structured and staffed correctly
  • Coach and mentor team members
  • Drive collaboration within team and with other teams
  • Proactively support initiatives relating to design and process compliance and improvements
  • Develop and maintain effective customer relationships that give credibility to operations
  • Understand and address customer concerns timeously and appropriately
  • Develop and present effective communication and presentations for customer and business level engagement


Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelors' degree in engineering or manufacturing management, or other discipline with relevant experience leading technical development programs and 10+ years of experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading diverse, multi-discipline teams in a high tempo environment
  • Expertise applying project management skills and techniques including: stakeholder management, team-building, critical decision making, cost analysis, risk mitigation and opportunity realization
  • Leadership experience in manufacturing
  • Strong presentation, data analysis and organizational skills
  • Experience and strong knowledge in Lean - Sigma manufacturing principles


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Master's degree in engineering or manufacturing management, or other discipline and 15+ years of demonstrated experience leading diverse teams in a high tempo, aerospace electronics production environment
  • Previous experience in New Product development
  • Experience in developing Design for Manufacturing standards
  • Lean Product Development principles
  • Leadership experience within supply chain environment
  • Strong foundation in the Operations function
  • Experience with the development and manufacture of safety / flight critical electronics
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or other relevant field
  • 6 Sigma Black Belt


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $115110 - $195660

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
