Job Description
This Program Management position will support the Instrumentation Range Support Program (IRSP) under the Sensor and Electronics Solutions business unit, headquartered in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. BAE Systems has over 40 years of experience in designing and manufacturing Instrumentation Radar Systems, Electro-Optical Systems, Test Range Asset Modernizations and Upgrades. Our capabilities include design, fabrication and integration of hardware and software to support a wide variety of test range requirements including RF and Electro Optical (EO) TSPI Instrumentation, Threat Simulators, CW Doppler and EO Behavioral Systems, Drop and No-Drop Bomb Scoring Systems, Telemetry Systems and Flight Termination Systems.

The technologies and resources of BAE Systems is dedicated to designing, manufacturing, integrating, and sustaining range products that are required for current test ranges and programs envisioned for future test ranges, aviation test facilities and launch facilities.

Job Description:

  • The PM will manage, coordinate, plan, organize, control, integrate, and execute a portfolio of projects for US Space Force Ranges. The PM will ensure achievement of financial, schedule, and technical performance objectives
  • Establish project budgets and monitor and control portfolio costs at the delivery order and contract line item level. Monitor costs of tasks to detect cost overruns. Compares cost to total budget and to milestone schedules and/or spend plans
  • Manage make/buy decisions. Develop acquisition strategies, author subcontractor Statements of Work and define required deliverables. Review subcontractor financial documentation such as cost performance reports and schedule status reports. Evaluate program or project status based on cost analysis and performance assessment techniques
  • Develop, Modify and review Integrated Master Schedules. Monitor critical tasks regularly
  • Analyze cost and schedule variances and develop get-well-plans
  • Lead the development of proposals. Coordinate historical data requirements to support Basis of Estimates (BOEs). Reviews departmental inputs
  • Participate in internal and external program and project reviews. Ensures technical evaluation of program or project progress is consistent with status presented in financial documentation
  • Evaluate performance/trend evaluations, including independent estimate-to-complete projections, and proactively identifies areas for improved efficiencies and potential problem areas. Participate in process improvement initiatives
  • Perform other related duties as assigned


Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelors' degree in engineering or other technical discipline with relevant experience leading technical development programs
  • Minimum 10 years of demonstrated success leading execution of technical development and/or sustainment programs
  • Excellent teamwork, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Able to multi-task, managing support duties among multiple projects concurrently
  • Able to work with minimal supervision; highly motivated individual with an ability to work on own initiative
  • Self-starter who possess the skills to identify problems and resolve them unilaterally
  • Business acumen with a focus on organizational and analytical skills to capture information, prioritize tasks and organize effectively
  • Detail-Oriented with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Previous experience as a Program Manager on a US government contract, specifically cost-type contracts and/or indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contracts (IDIQs)
  • Must have current U.S. Government Secret Clearance


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Master's Degree in engineering or Business Administration
  • Minimum 15 years of demonstrated experience leading diverse teams in a high tempo, defense environment
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Experience with multicultural / international customers
  • New Business Capture Lead experience / Proposal manager experience
  • Knowledge of CostPoint or similar ERP/cost reporting system is desired. Experience with COGNOS report studio
  • Knowledge of Engineering and Manufacturing

Full-Time Salary Range: $103590 - $176130

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
