Are you skilled in Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and adept at managing work packages within complex projects? BAE Systems is seeking an EVMS Work Package Manager to be based out of York, Pennsylvania. In this role as an EVMS Work Package Manager, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of projects within our EVMS framework. As a key member of our dynamic team, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with talented professionals, drive project success, and contribute to the Quality initiatives in our Combat Mission Systems (CMS) business area.

In this role, you will work closely with EV Finance, Scheduling, the Control Account Manager (CAM), and Program Management to plan and manage Quality's scope of work within schedule and budget. The candidate will work with these functions to implement and document Original Baselines from Proposals to Award, Re-baselines and Estimates to Complete (ETCs).

Note: This is a hybrid remote position in the York, PA area on a 9/80 schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of work packages within the EVMS framework, ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and manage work scope, schedule, and budget for assigned work packages, and ensure alignment with overall project objectives
  • Implement and maintain EVMS processes and procedures to effectively measure project performance, identify variances, and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and mitigation planning to minimize project risks and ensure on-time and within-budget delivery
  • Provide regular status updates and reports to project stakeholders, including management, customers, and government agencies, highlighting key performance metrics and progress against milestones
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on EVMS principles and practices, providing guidance and training to project team members as needed
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, seeking opportunities to optimize EVMS processes and enhance project performance
  • Support the training and mentoring of new and existing personnel in EV Metrics, financial analysis, and understanding EV in a Production environment
  • Attend and support internal and customer surveillances and reviews
  • Take project performance and update ETC's during monthly battle rhythm
  • Review Internal Contract Performance Reports (iCPR's) and assist the CAM in the development, analysis, and interpretation of financial data


Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, with four years of applicable experience, OR an Associate's degree with six years of applicable experience, OR the overall equivalent
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including scheduling, cost control, risk management, and earned value analysis
  • Possess an advanced level of understanding of EVMS within the defense industry
  • Excellent verbal and written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and drive consensus with diverse stakeholders and internal customers
  • Ability to multi-task and perform in a dynamic, complex, fast paced, changing Engineering and manufacturing environment
  • Ability to perform effectively and independently with good time management skills with minimal supervision
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically
  • Proficiency in EVMS tools and software, such as Deltek's Open Plan and Cobra, Primavera, and/or PM Compass, as well as Microsoft Office Suite to include Excel and Project


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Working knowledge with Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and DCMA
  • Experience working in a government contracting environment
  • Passion for continuous improvement and lean initiatives
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management certification is a plus
  • Experience with Visio for mapping processes and/or brainstorming ideas
  • Working knowledge of Operations and Build sequence within Manufacturing Environment
  • Experience with Proposals and Bases of Estimates


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $71600 - $121700

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
