Join a dynamic and well versed security team that provides support across several Business Areas within BAE Systems' Electronic Systems sector. The opportunity to be part of the security team, in one of the leading companies in Aerospace and Defense, offers a motivated professional a unique entry point to work across a broad range of activities supporting a diverse portfolio.
The Security Representative position will work under the guidance and direction of the Security Manager and Contractor Program Security Officers (CPSOs). The assignments of the Security Representative are focused on supporting the administration of a robust security program for several projects in a dynamic environment. The primary responsibility is to support the implementation of all requisite national security directives with specific emphasis on ICD's and DoD 5205.07 SAP Manual, Vols 1-4, and exhibit the dedication and expectation of a skilled security professional while working under the direct supervision of the CPSO. The Security Representative works as a team player, exhibits flexibility, manages priorities, and meets customer expectations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The Security Representative interacts with internal and external customers or Government security officials in performance of security duties. Success in this position will prepare you for future CPSO opportunities.
Additional assignments include physical security, information security, security education and awareness, document & media control, personnel security, data transfers, visitor control; maintain security files, handle & processing classified documents, and other security support activities as assigned by the CPSO. Prepare and conduct Program Security Awareness Briefings, develop security plans, goals, and objectives to comply with existing directives and future requirements. Briefing & indoctrinate program personnel on the proper application of security procedures. Interpret and provide classification guidance to employees, participate in self-inspections as well as CSA reviews, and investigate security incidents. Support other security related tasks as assigned by the Security Manager and the CPSO. Normal office environment; may work extended hours, weekends, and be on call for after hour support on a rotational basis.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Active Top Secret Clearance
Demonstrate understanding of the ICD's & DoD SAP Manuals.
Knowledge and demonstrated application of the U.S. Government security standards.
Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
TS/SCI clearance.
Ability to manage time, make sound decisions, take independent action, analyze problems, and provide focused solutions.
Must have a professional demeanor, good people skills, and ability to communicate effectively, and be able to perform in a multi-tasked, dynamic environment.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $64130 - $109010
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
