What you'll do:

As a Technical Inside Sales Representative at Applied Industrial Technologies, you'll help our customers by assisting them with technical help throughout their orders from start to finish. Some more details about what you will be doing includes the following:

  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding product selection, placement of orders for products and services, requests for prices and quotations while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with Automation, Inc. customers.
  • Provide support for Outside Sales staff.
  • Create customer quotes for price, terms of sale, availability, delivery dates, and other related information.
  • Investigate and resolve customer problems with deliveries, quality, and lead times with manufacturers.
  • Follow-up on customer quotes and negotiate to close the sale
  • Place purchase orders with our suppliers.

Requirements:

  • 1 or more year(s) of technical customer service or sales experience.
  • Data entry experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office package.
