Health Coach
Part Time
What you will do:
Assists employees with finding new ways to inspire healthier habits. Works closely with employees in promoting wellness and helping individuals realize their personal best. Develops a wellness coaching relationship with employees and assisting them through the process of actively working towards better health by providing support, encouragement and education. Assists employees with goal setting, evaluation of goals, and the development/implementation of a stress management program. Designs educational programs, assists in data collection, established protocol and reviews goals for all employees of the Atrium Health Navicent. Designs programs and sets protocol in order to appropriately train staff.
What you will need:
- Baccalaureate degree or higher in health promotion, health education, nursing, athletic training, nutrition or other health related field or counseling
- Two years of experience as a wellness coach required
- Previous work in wellness, public health, health education, nutrition or health promotion required
- Knowledge of specific disease and lifestyle related topics such as smoking cessation, weight management, nutrition, stress reduction and chronic conditions
- Certified Health Wellness Coach preferred
