Director of Clinical Education - Nurse Anesthesia Program
Working Title: Academy Faculty and Associate Program Director, Nurse Anesthesia Program
Report to: Nurse Anesthesia Program Director
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program
- Graduate of an accredited doctoral program in nursing or other specialties
Licensure, Certification, and Registration:
- Doctoral degree (DNP, DNAP, PhD)
- Eligible for unencumbered RN licensure in NC
- Current NBCRNA CRNA certification/recertification
- CHSE (preferred)
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years as CRNA (with strong teaching experience) 5 years preferred.
- Highly desired experiences with:
- Graduate-level teaching experience
- Nurse Anesthesia program leadership.
- Simulation
- Mentoring scholarly activity
- Curriculum design and management
- Clinical experience in a variety of environments
- Regional anesthesia
- Interprofessional collaboration
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Anesthesia clinical expertise
- Experience with Microsoft Office apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Scientific writing skills, ability to write for publication in professional journals
- Works in a collaborative environment
- Ability to mentor and counsel learners
