Overview
What you will do:
- Under the supervision of the directing physician, manages care of athletes and the active population in the school setting
- Uses preventative measures appropriately, provides standard immediate care procedures used in emergencies, clinical evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation and reconditioning
- Employs appropriate assessment outcomes measures to determine effectiveness of the athletics outreach program
- Determines appropriate return to sport for the active student
- Management of head injuries/concussions and referrals to appropriate medical professionals to ensure optimal level of care

What you will need:
Education, Training, and Experience
- Bachelor's or Masters degree in athletic training from a Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) program
- 3-5 years experience as a BOC Certified Athletic Trainer (preferred) and must be able to work independently
- Knowledge of OSHA Recordability and workers compensation a plus
Other Job Requirements, Licenses, Certifications
- Certified Athletic Trainer by NATA Board of Certification
- Currently licensed or eligible for a State of Georgia License in Athletic Training
- Ability to complete American Heart Association Healthcare Provider (BLS), which includes CPR and AED training within 30 day of hire
- Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) certification (preferred)
