* Call Schedule: Divided equally over the course of a year by the number of physicians. With 5 physicians it comes out to 73-80 call days per year, but with a 6th it would be about 66. We have 4 APPs who are on call also after hours - they take the first call then staff with the on call MD as needed. Physicians take first call from ER, MDs, one call.

Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at St. Vincent in Indianapolis is seeking a BC/BE Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join our established practice.

* An attached tertiary care, pediatric hospital with 40 private inpatient beds and 8 short stay beds, staffed in-house 24/7 by our Pediatric Hospitalist group.

* A 17-bed Pediatric Emergency department staffed 24/7 by Pediatric Emergency physicians.
* Indiana's largest Level IV NICU with 97 beds staffed 24/7 by Neonatologists.
* St. Vincent Children's Services: recognized nationally for faster access to pediatric specialists and best-in-care outcomes.
* Through the Peyton Manning Children's Health system at St. Vincent your family will get faster access to more than 100 highly experienced pediatric specialists. A majority of these physicians are double board certified in pediatrics and in one of 40 different pediatric specialties and multidisciplinary programs.
About The Program:
Clinical position with ready referral base
Outstanding support staff with collegial atmosphere. Providers include 5 board certified pediatric gastroenterologists, 3 CPNPs and 1 Physician Assistant
Our main clinic site is conveniently located adjacent to the children's hospital. Two providers also provide care at our satellite clinic at St. Vincent Fishers Hospital. Procedures are performed at Peyton Manning Children's Hospital and at the Surgery Center of Carmel.
We have an integrated pediatric biologic infusion center within our clinic with pediatric trained infusion nurses, a dedicated IBD CPNP and pediatric pharmacist
Procedures performed: EGD, colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, foreign body removal, gastrostomy tube placement, esophageal dilation, gastrointestinal bleeding management, small bowel capsule endoscopy, pH/impedance probe monitoring
Complete multidisciplinary support from a full range of subspecialists and ancillary services including an embedded Pediatric PharmD in clinic and close relationships with providers from Pediatric Surgery, Pediatric Radiology, Pathology, Pediatric Dieticians and Pediatric Rehabilitation services
Multidisciplinary Clinics: Aerodigestive Disorders (pediatric gastroenterology, ENT, pulmonology, speech therapy, psychology/feeding team)
Outstanding 24 hour Pediatric Anesthesiology support in the hospital and ambulatory surgery center
Collaboration with Ascension St. Vincent Adult Gastroenterology for transition of care
Peyton Manning Children's Hospital achieved recognition by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) as a Level I Children's Surgery Center. PMCH is the second Ascension children's hospital, the 49th in the country and the second in Indiana to receive this distinction.
A nine story Women and Children's tower housing 107 private NICU rooms is currently under construction
Providers participate in residency training and medical education through Marian University and Indiana University clinical teaching appointments with the potential for clinical research opportunities.

Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
* Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
* Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
* Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Optometry (OD) or Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) required.
