This is a request for hire for an additional position for 4138 as a shop/service coordinator.

Reporting to the Shop Manager, the Service Coordinator position will play an integral role in driving continuous improvements by providing leadership relative to service coordination and quality processes. Utilizing background knowledge and experience, coupled with insights and training, the Service Coordinator will become a subject matter expert regarding service and repair of hydraulic, pneumatic and lubrication components, and specialty products, and relied upon to provide support to the overall pursuit of quality and reliability.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Administrative support as required to facility the flow of shop work in the repair shop
  • Coordinate reporting efforts, failure analysis, standards, and drawings, as well as other technical requirements for hydraulic repairs with Foreman, technicians and the  Technical Services department.
  • Work directly with Technical Sales Representatives to support customer requests.
  • Evaluate quote requests including BOM's, specifications, drawings, delivery needs, test plans and general requirements.
  • Develop and submit proposals for quotation, test plans and deliveries that may include the full scope of proposal or specialized portions within corporate standards and quality procedures.
  • Continuously improve existing quality program and implement company quality control manual, develop product specific quality plans as well as Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) for shop repairs
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with customers and manufacturer's.
  • Assess product improvement recommendations and initiate required internal change.
  • Develop expertise relevant to the shop processes in order to support peers and colleagues and drive continuous improvement..
  • Generate work instructions for shop processes necessary to support the Applied Industrial Technologies customer base and repair requirements.

Preference will be given to individuals with the following qualifications:

  • Experience working in an industrial or hydraulic service environment
  • Service orientated with exposure to quality assurance and quality control.
  • Proficient with computers including Microsoft Office and ERP software (SAP preferred).
  • Ability to prioritize and number of tasks and complete a variety of work assignments within structured deadlines.
  • Extremely high level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to use both written and verbal skills to effectively communicate technical information.
