This position will provide leadership and guidance within the Accounts Payable team at Applied Corporate. The Accounts Payable team is very high volume. This position will oversee both resale and non-resale payments. In this role the supervisor will oversee the work of a mixture of direct reports and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides day-to-day leadership and guidance to team members. This includes employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, and work distribution.
- Works with the other Accounts Payable Supervisors and Manager to develop the team members, set goals, improve processes and procedures, and provide service to suppliers and internal colleagues.
- Manages invoice processing through Appzen invoice processing software. This includes providing direction and training to the associates who use that platform, working with Appzen colleagues to make improvements and monitor updates to the software, monitoring the progress and volumes in the tool, and reporting to management. These tasks apply for both Canadian and US invoices.
- Manages the invoice exceptions that fail to post. These exceptions can be found in VIM Workplace and consist of EDI and emailed invoices with exceptions that need correction prior to the invoice posting. The supervisor will work with team members to train and manage these exceptions so that invoices can be paid. The supervisor will be responsible for reporting on these invoices and escalating when necessary for resolution. These tasks apply for both Canadian and US invoices.
- Is the subject matter expert for VIM Workplace (SAP transaction screen). This includes running reporting on what is in this workflow tool, setting new users up, monitoring any updates that need done, and collaborating with operations team on testing and training for VIM Workplace.
Required:
- Must have Accounts Payable experience
- Bachelor's degree in equivalent field preferred
- Experience in a shared services/centralized services environment
Preferred:
- 5 years of Accounts Payable experience
- Experience using Microsoft Suite and SAP
