Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence / Analytics professional to join our company as Analytics & Reporting Manager to lead the development and implementation of a robust BI environment that satisfies the ever-growing information needs of the business. We are open to this position being located in St Louis, MO, Kansas City, MO or Columbus, OH.

 

In this role, you will focus on the development and operation of the Business Analytics and ETL practice, including managing staffing requirements, and optimizing processes, technology and performance. You will work closely with business executives and stakeholders in other departments in order to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support analytics solutions to deliver essential information to satisfy their information needs.

 

 Responsibilities

  • Lead development of new dashboards and reports on scalable business intelligence platforms such as Business Objects, Tableau, Power BI etc. along with maintaining and enhancing existing artifacts.
  • Manage a team using technical knowledge of data management systems, data warehousing methodology, data quality, data modelling, data governance, analytics, and predictive modeling, including technologies like Business Objects Toolset.
  • Execute various scale projects and demonstrate your understanding of project management principles.
  • Build and manage local and virtual teams using human resource management principles, practices, and procedures.

 

Requirements

  • Degree in the field of Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or equivalent related work experience.
  • 10+ yrs. proven technical knowledge of data management systems, data warehousing methodology, data quality, data modelling, data governance, analytics, and predictive modeling.
  • 6+ yrs. experience managing technologies like Business Objects Toolset: Business Warehouse, Data Services, Web Intelligence, Design Studio, Xcelsius and Data Services supporting P21 or other ERP Solutions is a plus! Working experience with Snowflex or Dremio is a plus.
  • 6+ yrs.' experience in successfully using project management tools to execute various scale projects and in-depth understanding of project management principles.
  • Proven experience leading development of new dashboards and reports on scalable business intelligence platforms such as Business Objects, Tableau, Power BI etc. along with maintaining and enhancing existing artifacts.
  • Proven experience in leading teams or in a direct supervisory role including team motivation, individual coaching and development.
  • Problem solving, proactive analytical, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including English grammar, and the ability to interface effectively and articulate business results at all levels of the organization; face-to-face and remotely.
  • Proven collaboration skills and continuous improvement mindset.
