Job Summary

Responsibilities 

  • Market Analysis and Strategy:
    •  Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and potential risks within the mortgage lending industry
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve revenue and market share goals
  • Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:
    •  Identify and target potential clients, including mortgage brokers, real estate professionals, and financial institutions
    •  Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored mortgage lending solutions
  • Partnership Development:
    • Establish and nurture partnerships with industry stakeholders, including real estate agencies, title companies, and legal firms
    •  Collaborate with partners to create mutually beneficial referral programs and joint marketing initiatives
  • Sales and Revenue Growth:
    • Meet and exceed sales targets and revenue objectives by actively prospecting and closing new business deals
    • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline, including tracking and reporting on sales activities
  • Product Knowledge and Compliance:
    • Stay current on mortgage lending products, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with underwriters, loan officers, and other internal teams to facilitate a seamless client onboarding and loan processing experience
    • Provide feedback and insights to enhance product offerings and customer satisfaction

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • In-depth knowledge of mortgage products, loan origination processes, and industry regulations
  • Strong network of industry contacts and relationships
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Results-oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Credentials and Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred)
  • Proven track record of success in business development within the mortgage lending industry
