THE ROLE: 

This technology node owner (or deputy) position is for a design/product development engineer within AMD's Foundry Technology Operations organization. This position is an individual contributor role with focus on technology development/readiness assessment and design enablement from early definition to product ramping. Responsibilities include defining and driving our foundry partners' technology to support AMD product roadmap through DTCO, analyzing data from foundry partners; monitoring and reporting manufacturing readiness of a technology, working with internal customers (including design, reliability, packaging and product engineering) to ensure that the technology is meeting product PPAYQ (Perf./Power/Area/Yield/Quality) requirements.

 

THE PERSON: 

The potential candidates should have great understanding on semiconductor device physics, advanced Fab process technologies (FinFET or newer), and new product introduction (NPI) for advanced technologies. The candidate also needs to have good knowledge of IC design and good understanding of factors influencing model hardware correlation, good knowledge in PDK components like design rule manual and SPICE model.

 

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • Knowledge of technology and product reliability, CPI (Chip-Package-Interaction) and process SPC control, statistical analysis and interpretation, and SRAM/analog design is desired.

  • It is critical that the candidate has excellent communication skill and project management skill and the ability to coordinate complicated projects across different organizations.

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

MS or Ph.D in EE or related field with industry experience
