Job Role and Responsibility: AMD Design LLC., a subsidiary of AMD, Inc., is hiring Sr. Staff Validation Engineer to Collaborate and leverage full understanding of architecture, design, platform, firmware and system engineering in all phases of the design process. Evaluate test specifications, requirements, strategies and methodologies for electrical validation, firmware validation and platform level testing. Coordinate test effort preparation and track requirements, schedules and actions. Review, track, execute, document and summarize test results. Internal Server Research & Development Hardware Validation support. Collaborate on automation efforts for validation.

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, System Engineering or a related field.
Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: 8 years' experience in Sr. Staff Engineer or a related role.
Alternate combination of education and experience: In lieu of a bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience, employer will alternately accept a master's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, System Engineering or a related field, plus 6 years of experience in the job offered or a related role.
Specific skills required: The following skills are required:
Requires a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, System Engineering or a related field plus 8 years' experience in job offered or a related role.
This role requires 8 years of experience in each of the following:
- System Validation experience.
- PCIe Gen2 & 3 & 4, DDR3/4, SAS, SATA, and USB.
- Validation, testing and qualification of hardware and software and scripting, particularly on PowerShell and Python.
- Firmware engineering, including BIOS.
- Networking, involving servers, network interfacing, and system integration.
In lieu of a bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience, employer will alternately accept a master's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, System Engineering or a related field, plus 6 years of experience in the job offered or a related role.
This role requires 6 years of experience in each of the following:
- System Validation experience.
- PCIe Gen2 & 3 & 4, DDR3/4, SAS, SATA, and USB.
- Validation, testing and qualification of hardware and software and scripting, particularly on PowerShell and Python.
- Firmware engineering, including BIOS.
- Networking, involving servers, network interfacing, and system integration.
