Senior Software System Designer
THE ROLE:
AMD is searching for a dynamic, self-motivated candidate to join our Software Quality Assurance team to take our continuous integration testing to the next level. Sr. Software System Designer will perform Automation, validation and compliance of AMD System Manageability hardware and software Products.
THE PERSON:
- A person in this role should be able to work in a collaborative team environment working with architecture, design , automation and validation engineers to find creative ways to accelerate the identification of functional defects along with automating the required features.
- Strong self-driving ability, should have excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
- Strong problem-solving skills
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and Create test Cases of System Manageability Testing (automated and manual)
- Automating the existing functional Manageability features / tools
- Updating Test plan and creating new test plan for new products
- Bug reporting and follow up activities to resolve the bugs
- Work with the development team for debugging and recreating the bugs
- Validation of Manageability products (Wired/Wireless)
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- 6+ years of experience in testing & automating the networking / GUI related applications on Windows and Linux
- Understanding of client-server architecture is required
- Good Knowledge on DMTF Specifications and DMTF Profiles
- Good understanding of DASH or out of band management
- Good exposure on System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) / Microsoft end point configuration manager (MECM)
- Good exposure on active directory and Windows Security frameworks
- Knowledge in LAN/ Wireless Networking protocols like 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax protocols, TCP/IP, L2 and L3 protocols.
- Good understanding of tools like IXIA Chariot, iPerf, Wireshark and other Wireless sniffer
- Mandatory scripting languages (Python/Perl/C++) is required
- High attention to details with good documentation skills
- Knowledge on x86 is added advantage
- Knowledge of Intel's AMT is plus
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- BE/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech/M.S. in Electrical / Electronics / IT/ CSE/Network Engineering
