THE ROLE:

Through this position, we are actively seeking a highly skilled project manager who has overseen payroll projects.  This role will drive the information flow of various projects and initiatives along with cross-functional engagement.  An understanding of the overall flow of the initiative goals and framework.  Conceptual knowledge of 3rd party application system integration.  This role will report directly to the Payroll Manager. 

 

THE PERSON:

Our ideal candidate will be an exceptional self-starter, someone who is highly motivated and capable of setting priorities and executing for the overall project.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the planning, design, and implementation of payroll projects from the contract signing through company rollout.
  • Must understand the proposed business processes, understand the integration requirements, and understand technical concepts related to the payroll implementation.
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Prepare payroll process flows, documentation, and make recommendations.
  • Develop test methodologies as well as troubleshooting, problem solving and solutions.
  • Develop regular project status reports to track activities and monitor all deliverables and key milestones.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders such as IT and HR on all cross-functional dependencies.
  • Liaison with external vendors and internal stakeholders, as required.
  • Prepare presentations and provide timely updates to management and other key stakeholders.
  • Assist in Change Management planning.
  • Other duties as assigned but not limited to above.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Skilled and knowledge in project management and experience in payroll implementations.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, attention to detail and effective communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite of applications, such as Excel, Word, Power-Point and Visio.

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • BA or BS degree in Accounting, Finance or other business-related fields is desired.
