Role Overview

Candidate will be Validation Lead to drive, and oversee the end‑to‑end quality assurance strategy for Ryzen AI and NPU  for our latest generation of APUs This role demands deep technical expertise, strategic leadership, and the ability to influence cross‑functional teams to deliver best-in‑class performance, stability, and compliance in cutting‑edge compute environments.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Validation Leadership: Define and execute comprehensive validation roadmaps for Ryzen AI and NPU features on Windows.
  • Platform Quality Ownership: Ensure robust validation coverage across firmware, drivers, OS integration, and virtualization layers for latest‑gen APUs.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with silicon design, firmware, driver, OS, and application teams to align quality goals and resolve complex issues.
  • Virtualization Expertise: Validate SR‑IOV functionality for NPUs, ensuring secure, performant, and scalable multi‑tenant AI acceleration.
  • Performance & Reliability Testing: Establish benchmarks, stress tests, and long‑haul stability runs for AI workloads and virtualization scenarios.
  • Automation & CI/CD: Drive automation strategy for regression, performance, and compatibility testing; integrate with continuous delivery pipelines.
  • Defect Management: Lead triage, root‑cause analysis, and resolution tracking for cross‑stack issues.
  • Quality Metrics & Reporting: Define KPIs, track trends, and present actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Mentorship: Coach and develop senior validation engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience in validation/quality engineering, with significant leadership in CPU/APU, AI accelerator, or virtualization domains.
  • Proven expertise in Windows driver and OS validation, including SR‑IOV and hardware virtualization technologies.
  • Deep understanding of Ryzen AI architecture, NPU pipelines, and AI workload optimization.
  • Strong background in firmware, driver, and OS integration for heterogeneous compute platforms.
  • Proficiency in automation frameworks (Python, PowerShell, or equivalent) and CI/CD systems.
  • Experience with performance benchmarking, power/thermal profiling, and stability validation.
  • Familiarity with security, compliance, and reliability requirements for enterprise and OEM deployments.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with GPU/NPU co‑validation, ROCm, and AI/ML frameworks.
  • Exposure to large‑scale lab infrastructure and distributed validation environments.
  • Track record of influencing architecture/design for testability and quality
