Job Role and Responsibility: AMD Design LLC, a subsidiary of AMD, Inc., is hiring a Sr. Functional Technical Project Manager to Maintain, track and communicate weekly material readiness reports to support prototype hardware builds. Coordinate the interactions between procurement, operations and engineering to ensure smooth product flow. Ensure supply plans generate credible master production schedules by identifying and resolving supply/demand imbalances. Structure and conduct advanced supply chain analyses using Excel in the areas of inventory management, production planning and capacity planning. Lead the efforts to resolve supply issues, escalates to sourcing as required to maintain business continuity. Extract large sets of data from several databases and import into Excel and/or Access for status reporting and analysis. Collaborate with engineers, managers, program teams, build teams and system teams to ensure bill of material quality and accuracy in preparation for program launches. Contribute to the preparation of project documentation to ensure customer requirements are met in alignment with the program schedule.

Qualifications: Degree required

Bachelor's' degree in Project Management, Supply Chain Analysis, or a related field

Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or closely related role.

Alternate combination of education and experience: As an alternative, employer will accept a master's degree in project management, Supply Chain Analysis, or a related field and any amount of experience.

Specific skills required: The following skills are required:

Requires a bachelor's degree in project management, Supply Chain Analysis, or a related field, plus 2 years of experience in job offered or related roles.

Must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:

  • Using Microsoft Excel and Excel Macros to generate multiple types of reports and navigate large data for project tracking and reporting;
  • Microsoft SharePoint for Data management and project documentation;
  • Project Management Methodologies including Agile or Waterfall.;
  • Project management techniques including Project Planning, Scheduling, Risk Management, Project Reporting and Project Tracking to ensure the successful achievement of project milestones;
  • Data Analysis for supply planning and to resolve supply chain issues for ongoing and future engineering activities;
  • Using ERP systems including SAP or Microsoft Dynamics 365;
  • Task managing applications including JIRA or Microsoft Azure DevOps for task delegation and issues tracking and reporting.

As an alternative, employer will accept a master's degree in project management, Supply Chain Analysis, or a related field and any amount of experience in the following:
