SOFTWARE SYSTEM DESIGNER 2 

THE ROLE: 

This is an exciting role in which you will have excellent exposure to all the latest AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) technologies. THE PERSON: 

You are a self-starter who is able to achieve successful outcomes in a non-hierarchical environment.  Detailed oriented, you have the ability to multitask through planning/organizing. You have excellent communication and presentation skills and a passion to push the limits of software on innovative platforms. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• • Work with the leads to understand the testing requirements and test plan, responsible for the execution of the test plans
  • Enhance and maintain test suites: develop test cases to ensure functionality is tested thoroughly, develop test cases to

  enhance the performance of the tools, extract test cases from problem statements and execution of the test cases

  • Should possess good analytical skills to help root cause the issue detected during testing
  • Should be a good team player
  • Responsible for the installation and maintenance of the test harness on various platforms
  • Analyze and validate tests results: create reports of test execution, bugs identified, validate bug fixes
  • Work with the leads to understand the testing requirements, test plan and responsible for the execution of the test plans
  • Test and prove that the software meets the desired requirement by closely working with Application developers and Validation Engineers
  • Designing test scenarios for software usability to ensure functionality is validated, executing test cases, preparing test reports, Reporting & Debugging failures/issues, verifying bug fixes and working in an agile and fast paced
  • Responsible for the installation and maintenance of the test infrastructure/configurations on various platforms
  • Develop and automate tests for software validation, execute automated scripts on various hardware platforms and debug the failures

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

• Good knowledge of CPU/GPU architecture, Graphics APIs– Vulkan, DirectX, OpenGL
• Good knowledge of CPU/GPU architecture, Graphics APIs– Vulkan, DirectX, OpenGL
• Good Understanding of Pipeline, Rendering, Rasterization, Video codecs
• Working knowledge of Linux and Windows OS
• Familiarity with any of the scripting language (Python, Perl…)
• Good knowledge of testing fundamentals, hardware debugging and troubleshooting methods

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent
