External Role: Software Solutions - Junior Software Engineer
The Role
AMD's Server Software and Solutions Engineering Team is seeking a passionate New College Graduate (NCG) to join our team as a Junior Software Engineer. In this role, you will support the optimization of software and solutions on AMD EPYC processors, working closely with senior engineers to profile, debug, and enhance performance. You will gain hands-on experience in x86 architecture and contribute to projects involving competitive analysis and end-customer application tuning. Collaboration with product, marketing, and silicon development teams will be key to your growth as you help develop strategies for performance optimization. This position is based in Santa Clara, CA.

Preferred Experience
Proficient understanding of x86 computing architecture; familiarity with software-level code optimization; exposure to database internals, analytics, or operating systems through coursework or projects. Experience working in a team setting, either through academic projects or extracurricular activities, with a focus on communication and problem-solving.
Academic Credential
BS or Masters in Computer Science
