THE ROLE: 

The Infrastructure Team, we build tools for enhancing developer workflows and provide automation solutions. Identify roadblocks and inefficiencies in existing ecosystems and implement processes/tools to remove them. As a team member you will design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs, application tools, networks.

 

THE PERSON: 

Early-career software engineer with foundational knowledge of automation, scripting, and development frameworks. He is a collaborative team player with strong analytical skills, eager to learn and contribute to software automation tasks.   

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Support the development of internal software tools and dashboards used in ASIC design and verification. 

  • Contribute to defined phases of the software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, and documentation, under supervision. 

  • Assist in documenting software components and workflows. 

  • Help troubleshoot basic issues in software and EDA tools with guidance from senior engineers. 

  • Learn to manage internal software packages using Artifactory and monitor resource usage via LSF. 

  • Participate in code reviews to gain exposure to best practices and improve coding skills. 

  • Assist in maintaining automation frameworks and regression flows for design validation. 

  • Write and maintain simple, testable scripts in Python, Ruby, Kotlin, Perl, or Shell to support automation tasks. 

  • Work in Unix-based environments and begin using tools like LSF, Artifactory, and Gradle. 

  • Collaborate with team members to complete assigned tasks and resolve issues. 

  • Communicate task progress clearly and maintain accurate status tracking. 

  • Engage in team planning and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. 

 

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • Working knowledge of software development, automation and basic software architecture principles.  

  • Background in object-oriented programming.  

  • Good understanding of computer organization/architecture  

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering
