The Role:

AMD is seeking a Hardware or Embedded Software Engineer to lead SLT test for the Ryzen AI product line.  You will be debugging Silicon and Firmware issues and developing best in class test procedures for high volume Client products.  You will collaborate across cross-functional teams to arrive at optimal solutions.  In doing this, you will develop the unique and valuable skillset of System Level Test.

The Person:

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and a passion for solving complex problems that cross many domains (Hardware/Firmware/Thermal).  Clear communication is also a must-have, as the position requires interfacing with team members from multiple disciplines. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and Validate SLT Test Solutions – HW/SW
• Bring up SLT Test Program / Debug Early Product Issues
• Optimize CPU/GPU/NPU Performance through Si Characterization
• Learn and Apply best in class data science techniques / automation
• Develop/Validate state of the art Diagnostic Capability
• Optimize test program coverage to deliver cost efficient SLT Test Insertion
• Correlate SLT Functional Coverage back to ATE Test Environment
• Work on products utilizing cutting edge fab process / manufacturing technology
• Opportunity to Mentor other team members

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in System Level Test / BIOS / Firmware
• Strong Programming skills in C++, Java, C, or C#.
• Experience in Python, Perl, Ruby, shell script
• Familiarity with general Computer Architecture concepts such as pipelining, cache hierarchy, x86 architecture, and PC computer organization
• Experience with logic analyzers, voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and other debug tools
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix-like Operating Systems.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with global AMD teams

Academic Credentials:

• BS/MS EE or CompE or equivalent
