THE ROLE:
As a Senior Staff SoC PnP Engineer, you will own deep-dive post-silicon analysis and tuning across power, thermal, and performance KPIs.
THE PERSON:
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, design engineers, validation teams, and marketing, to deliver industry-leading SoC solutions with optimized power efficiency and performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive post-silicon PnP validation, including profiling and measuring EDC/TDC, thermal behavior, frequency scaling, droop characteristics.
- Perform detailed silicon debug across power rails, telemetry, DVS behavior, and PMIC interactions.
- Tune power management knobs and firmware parameters to optimize performance.
- Correlate silicon results with pre-silicon models; identify gaps, propose fixes.
- Plan and execute post‑silicon validation for power/performance/thermal (PVT sweeps, Vmin/Fmax characterization, transient droop analysis).
- Automate data collection/analysis pipelines; develop dashboards for KPIs and regression tracking.
- Debug HW/FW/driver issues affecting PnP; apply fusing/FW tuning to close gaps.
- Collaborate with architecture/DV/FW/platform teams on root cause and fixes; document tuning guides.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in SoC silicon validation or PnP engineering.
- Strong Python scripting and lab debug skills (scope, logic analyzer, PMIC tools).
- Good understanding of CPU/GPU performance and power telemetry.
- Experience in automotive, industrial, or high-reliability SoCs are a big plus.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
